Last stage for Challenge Giordana 2012: in Treviso last call for Granfondisti

Challenge Giordana is near its end. On July 15th, the last stage of 2012 edition, in Treviso. At GF Pinarello “La Pina”, participants will can choose between two paths: 118 km or 169 km. After this last stage will be designated the winners of each category.
 
After five Sundays entirely dedicated to road cycling, Challenge Giordana is approaching the sixth and final stage of 2012 edition.
The appreciated and attended circuit, with about 800 patents in 2011 (the largest in Italy) and 1200 subscribers in this season, Sunday, July 15th, will archive the third successful year with GF Pinarello “La Pina”, in Treviso.
Therefore, in Veneto the best granfondisti and mediofondisti will can put their personal signature on the Challenge. A Challenge that started three months ago always in Veneto with GF Liotto; after GF fi’zi: k, GF Eddy Merckx, Marcialonga Cycling Craft and GF Giordana,  last June 24th in Aprica (Sondrio).
More than 650 km for those who have chosen Granfondo, a little less for those who have chosen Mediofondo (about 500 km), for a Challenge that has been a success, not only for the number of participants, but also for the organization. The participants have been shown to accept the new formula of Challenge Giordana, this year expanded and improved by a new region, Lombardia, and two new appointments: GF Giordana and GF Pinarello.
And GF Pinarello will be the final judge of the circuit 2012 with its two paths: Mediofondo of 118 km and Granfondo of 169 km, both starting from Piazza del Grano in Treviso at 7.45am.
The race of Sunday will be very important for leaders of the different categories: between Granfondisti Lorna Ciacci (F1), Valentina Gallo (F2), Carlo Muraro (ASS), Mauro Gerarduzzi (S), Michele Bencivenni (M1), Davide Graziani (M2), Oscar Girardi (V1), Massimo Sansonetti (V2), Fabio Ferro (G1), Stefano Mossini (G2), Riccardo Gambato (SG1) e Mario Cremonese (SG2) will defend their leadership by the pursuers if they want to get the victory in 2012 edition.
Among mediofondisti Astrid Schartmüller has almost still won, with fourth victories in five stages; at this point there are no more possibilities for Christiane Bitante and Sabrina Zogli.
Instead, in F2 Erica Venturini will try to confirm her leadership, as Andrea Masiero. Davide Spiazzi (S), Marco Fochesato (M1), Omar Filippi (M2), Massimo Gaiardelli (V1), Silvio Roat (V2), Claudio Bevilacqua (G1), Mario Stelvio Manza (G2), Onorato Semprebon (SG1) and Ivo Segato (SG2) are the other candidates to get on the podium as winners of the category, if the last stage of Challenge Giordana does not carry with it some surprises.
