Closed the third edition of Challenge Giordana: the winners

With GF Pinarello 2012 edition of Challenge Giordana ended, after six races. Carlo Muraro won in category men’s Granfondo Absolute. Andrea Masiero first in Mediofondo
Among women Avanzi and Gallo won, in mediofondo Venturini and Schartmüller.

 
 
With GF Pinarello of July 15th also the 2012 edition of the Challenge Giordana wrote the word “end”.
Six the stages of this year, with two new entries, GF Giordana and GF Pinarello, in addition to GF Liotto, GF fi’zi: k, Marcialonga Cycling Craft and GF Eddy Merckx.
1200 the subscripted (an increase of approximately 30% compared to last year) and 786 of them get the “patent” because completed at least four of the six races in calendar.
After the long circuit that began last April, on the streets of Treviso took final shape the final standings of 3rd edition of Challenge Giordana where the winner of last season between Master1, Carlo Muraro, has dominated the absolute male classification, ahead of the team mate Paolo Minuzzo.
Still on long distances, Claudia Avanzi won in category Femminile1, second position for Lorna Ciacci, second. In other categories, the winners are: Valentina Gallo (Femminile2), Mauro Gerarduzzi (Senior), Michele Bencivenni (Master1), Davide Graziani (Master2), Oscar Girardi (Veterani1), Massimo Sansonetti (Veterani2), Riccardo Gambato (SuperGentleman1) and Mario Cremonese (SuperGentleman2), while after GF Pinarello che leader of category Gentleman1 is gianni Rosso and Marco Poier leds category Gentleman2.
As regard mediofondo, in category Femminile1 won Astrid Schartmüller, with four victories in six rstages. Christiane Bitante and Sabrina Zogli close in second and third position, as antonella Girardi and Rosanna Scipioni in category Femminile2, in which Erica Venturini (F2) won again.
Andrea Masiero has complied with the predictions and won the absolute category, like Davide Spiazzi between Senior and Marco Fochesato between the M1. Among Master2 Massimo Cappelletti has regained the leadership against the winner of last season, Omar Filippi, this year third in final classification, second Alessandro Binotto. Massimo Gaiardelli (Veterani1), Federico Nardi (Veterani2), Claudio Bevilacqua (Gentleman1), Mario Stelvio Manza (Gentleman2), Onorato Semprebon (SuperGentleman1, first last year too) and Ivo Segato (SuperGentleman2) have gotten
the first position in respective categories.
The new look of the most partecipated circuit in Italy has been a great sucess.
786 patents and 1,200 subscripted for this 3rd edition.
