Vittorio Mevio and his GS Alpi work for GF International Giordana. The cycling event is scheduled for June 24th, 2012. Three climbs and three paths, Gavia, Mortirolo and Santa Cristina. Among the new background music for the entire event.
 
 
Among the steps that make up the Tour of Italy 2012, one in particular has sparked the “fever” of cyclists. It is that of 26th May, a “Tappone” with climbing up the legendary Mortirolo,  the same that a month later will be assaulted by the cyclists of the 8° edition of International Granfondo dell’Aprica (SO) of 24th June 2012.
Vittorio Mevio and his GS Alpi, after celebrating the excellent 2011 edition, are already working for the next one.
The race does not belie the expectations of its numerous fans (3,000 subscribers in last June) The next summer there will be three paths, with the “Lungo” to act as a real litmus test of the fittest with its 175 km and a total difference in level of 4,500 metres. Passo Gavia, Mortirolo and Santa Cristina will decide the winner. The mountains of Sondrio will be protagonists also of “Medio” path (155 km and 3,600 metres in altitude) and “Corto” path (85 km and 1,850 metres of gradient).
Paths unchanged for the GF Giordana 2012, but the music…will chance. It is not just a manner of speaking, because the marathon will offer various musical entertainments “to create a sort of background during the race,” said the patron of the event Vittorio Mevio.
In short there is a desire to entertain the amateurs, those who attend the GF Giordana for pleasure of cycling, without the hassle of being protagonists.
So Vittorio Mevio decided that at the top of the Gavia to do some entertainment there will be a group with accordions and guitar, as in Mortirolo, while at the brow of the pass there will be the local band of Aprica. 
The appointment of Aprica is a big event in the curriculum of every cyclists, and in 2012 even more because the race will take place a few weeks after the stage of the women Tour of Italy

GF International Giordana 2011 will have a particolar attention for the granfondisti “Away”, on the website of GS Alpi there are various proposals for apartments, hotels and camping, moreovere there also will the opportunity to spend the night between Saturday 23th and the Sunday of the race in the Sports Hall at a cost of 10€ (include bed, bathroom and showers).
Among the new 2012 there is the entry in Challenge Giordana.

Granfondo of Aprica will also be part of the circuit Nobili / Supernobili, Coppa Lombardia and Grand Trofeo, the registrations are open until 16 June at a cost of 40€.
