The 14 edition of GF Liotto – Città di Valdagno (VI) is scheduled April 15th. Defined the technical gadget, useful for granfondisti. The “ladies” will always be in the front line.

The winter is usually a moment of planning for fans of granfondo, and with the calendar for 2012 offers a lot of appointments to think about.
The date of the 14th edition of Granfondo Liotto – Città di Valdagno, in Vicenza, is a certainty for some time, the spring classic is scheduled April 15th, and in these days the organizers led by brothers Pierangelo, Doretta and Luigina Liotto are defining some interesting news for the new season.
For example, the technical gadget for participants has been chosen: it is a high-pressure pump for inflating tires and tubes, a steel product, all Italian (and this is not to be underestimated) and personalized with the logo of GF Liotto.
This Granfondo is among the first appointments at the start of the season and it is chosen by many sportsmen after the stop during winter and to prove this there is the number of the inscriptions, that before Christmas had already reached 1,000 competitors. A further increase could come in these last days of the year, because up to 31 December, the fee will be reduced and also will be automatically guaranteed the inclusion in the first grid.
Another reason to hasten the registration is the choice by the CO, for organizational reasons, to reserve the GF Liotto to a maximum of 2,500 participants.
With regard to the starting grid, the “ladis” will have a preferred position, a great way to encourage and promote the sport among women.

Granfondo Liotto - Città di Valdagno has two paths: Mediofondo of 102 km and 1,450 metres in altitude, Granfondo of 130 km and 2500 metres in altitude, where one of the most fascinating is the mythical “Trappola”, between Valbianca and Marana, 12km with a gradient of 20%.
Granfondo Liotto – Città di Valdagno, valid for the fourth time as Gino Liotto Memorial, will be the opening stage of Challenge Giordana and also the 1st stage of Campionato provinciale Udace and 4th stage of Campionato italiano Granfondo e Mediofondo Udace.
Another novelty of Granfondo Liotto 2012 is the designation of the “voice” of the race: to entertain the public commenting on the race of Valdagno there will be Paolo Mei, speaker of Giro d’Italia 2011.

As mentioned, the registrations are open and up to December 31 there is the chance to enroll at the reduced price of 25 Euro, then the fee will be increased to 30 euros for bookings made until the end of March, with a further rise of 10 euro between 1 and 15 Apri.
