Marostica (VI) welcomes GF fi'zi: k

Presented at the Castle of Marostica (VI) Granfondo fi’zi: k - City of Marostica. The 3rd edition of the cycling granfondo is scheduled for May 6th
Two paths, Granfondo of 154 km and 2,970 m / dsl and Mediofondo of 100 km and 1,670 m / dsl
The castle of Marostica, near Vicenza, has been the location to the presentation of the 3rd Granfondo fi’zi: k - City of Marostica, the road cycling event scheduled on May 6th.
This city was chosen as the new home of departure and arrival of granfondo, which has the name of the famous company for the production of saddles and accessories and, since this year, has picked up the legacy of Granfondo of Marostica. To demonstrate the unity of goals and purposes, at the speakers’ table there were not only the representatives of fi’zi: k, the marketing manager Alberto Fonte and Nicolò Ildos,responsible for sport, but also the Councillor for Sports. Matteo Minuzzo, Lorenzo Bertacco and Andrea Maroso, representing Studio Rx - Services for sport and ASD B-Sport, which together with fi’zi: k and the City of Marostica will take care of the next edition of Granfondo.
Among the many innovations of this edition, there is the choice of the new starting location: Piazza Castello. “Marostica is a city with a long cycling tradition” said Minuzzo, “It gave birth to Giovanni Battaglin, winner of Giro d’Italia in 1981 . The administration has enthusiastically welcomed the proposal to fi’zi: k to host this important granfondo, also to give a unique opportunity for athletes and their families to discover Marostica from the point of view of culture and tourism”.
The choice of Marostica was “encouraged” even by the many historical attractions, as well as by the important of location for fi’zi: k: “Our office is located in Pozzoleone,” said Fonte, “about 10 km from Marostica”.
The conference was the ideal opportunity to present the new paths of the race, a path of 154 km and 2,970 m / dsl and a Mediofondo of 100 km and 1,670 m / dsl, with a great innovation for both parties or share the passage in Altopiano di Asiago. “This is the characteristic that makes GF fi’zi:k an adventure,” said Ildos, “a novelty that will not create problems for those who are not accustomed to too heavy paths, indeed in the first kilometres the race propose gradients contained, in order to counterbalance the overall commitment. For all participants it will be a memorable ride and, in particular, the transition in Altopiano di Asiago will give great satisfactions”.
After the start from Piazza Castello, the cyclists will go towards Valdastico and Pedescala, where the climb of Altopiano di Asiago will start
In location Turcio the two path will separate Mediofondo will go towards Crosara to reach the goal of Marostica. The granfondisti, istead, will go towards Laverda and then come back in the paths already done, with the ascent of Salcedo. There will also be the ascent of Monte Corno, the pride of GF fi’zi: k that had already proposed that in 2011 edition. The goal will be, as mediofondo, in the central square of Marostica.
“Our goal is to create a great event through a good organization,” said Bertacco, “offering a sporting event with deep cultural and territorial implications.” It should not be forgotten that the race is part of the circuits Noble / Supernobili, Challenge Giordana (which already has over 600 members), Udace Provincial Championship and also the Grand Prix Endurance RX, which brings together the three races Marciabianca Sci di fondo ( Enego, 26 February), the GF fi’zi: k - City of Marostica and Mezza Maratona del Brenta (Bassano del Grappa, September 2).
“We are working to ensure the best to the participants” said Maroso, ” and we have several new which will involve adults and children also the eve of the day Saturday, May 5. At the start there are still a few months, so I prefer to wait to reveal in detail the projects, surely the third GF fi’zi: k will be a unique show”.
Appointment May 6, therefore, with the 3rd edition of GF fi’zi: k - City of Marostica, an event made possible thanks to the patronage of the Veneto Region, the Province of Vicenza and AICS.
