The chosen people, three men and two women, will try in preview the new collections, test innovative materials and give their opinion. The testers will not only have the satisfaction of trying those that will become the exclusive top-of-range products for the following seasons and helping to improve them, but they will keep for themselves all the cloths. But this is not all: indeed the testers will also have the opportunity to spend a “day of great cycling” with one of the professional teams sponsored by Giordana. The men will spend a day with the #YELLOWFLUO team Vini Fantini Selle Italia during Giro di Lombardia 2013; women will experience all the emotions of one of the most important races of the season because they will be with the women #YELLOWFLUO dream team Cipollini - Giordana - Galassia during the most important stage of Giro di Toscana 2013.

After this great success, the Giro d’Italia continues tomorrow with the stage 5 from Cosenza to Matera of 199km.

The ascent of Castelvecchio (7.8 km and an average gradient of 7%) will be only for those who choose granfondo, of which is part also the popular (... and hard!) “La Trappola”, the stretch Valbianca-Marana with 12 km and peaks even at 20%.
Prerogative of Mediofondo track will be the climb of Castello (last in roadmap) with an average of 7%, which promises to be selective and spectacular.
Mediofondo path of 102 km has 1,450 metres of ascent, while granfondo has 2,500 metres of difference in level, important technical features to start the season.

Meanwhile, it’s time to predictions. Some names that may affect the result are those of Cunico, Bertuola or Kairelis for granfondo, Minuzzo, Magri, Fochesato for mediofondo, Claudia Avanzi (granfondo) and Astrid Schartmueller (mediofondo) among women, but there are of course many other good athletes.

Challenge Giordana, sponsored by the brand leader in technical cloth, is the street circuit with the highest participation in Italy. The inscriptions were closed at the end of March with more than 1200 participants. The patent will be delivered only to those that will close at least 4 of the 6 stages, while the categories are 13 (ten male and three female). The final results are both of category, both general and teams, but also of mediofondo and granfondo.

to see so together in a way that certainly had never seen,
the leaders of the two teams”.

Two months to the start of Granfondo Liotto - Città di Valdagno (VI) scheduled April 14th. Two more months to train up and prepare for one of the first events of 2013 cycling season.
ASD Team Granfondo Liotto is at work to organize a perfect 15° edition.
Two paths also for this edition: Mediofondo of 102 km and 1450 metres of ascent and Granfondo of 130 km and 2500 metres of difference in level. The landscape will always be that of Piccole Dolomiti and Valli del Pasubio, where roads lead to Recoaro Terme and Schio and will reach (for the most intrepid of the “long"path) Monte Margrè and Torreselle. The more daring will be alert ... not to remain stuck in the “trap”, the part Valbianca-Marana of 12 km with a peak gradient of 20%, the real challenge of the race and the last effort before the finish line in Valdagno.
But this year all members can have more energy, thanks to an energy bar that will be in the race pack, the new Promeal Energy. In addition a soft microfiber bathrobe with the brand Granfondo Liotto.
Because of the fact that last year due to bad weather, the organizers opted for the only “short” path, there is no time to waste because a lot of cyclists will want to participate in 2013 edition of Granfondo Liotto. Should hurry up and register and, above all, take advantage of the fee of 30€ reserved for those who will book their place on the grid by February 28th.

A life in cycling and a clear choice, the more difficult one, but certainly the most fascinating, do not bet on who is already a champion, but on the most promising young cyclists, to make them grow and become the champions of tomorrow. This is the spirit with which Bruno Reverberi interprets cycling, as always, since 1982, his first year at the led of a pro team, the Termolan Galli, among which there was a twenty years old that soon everyone would learn to know: Davide Cassani. The former champion and current TV commentator is just the first of a series of cyclists discovered by Bruno Reverberi in 30 years of career at the led of professional teams. Years characterized by a constant cooperation with Giordana, which lasts almost since the foundation of the company leader in technical apparel for cycling, and a relationship of deep esteem for his patron, Federico Zecchetto. There are still seven months at the start, but the organizers are already working hard for Granfondo Eddy Merckx 2013 that will take place Sunday, June 9th. Since today, also granfondisti can begin to think about it because the submissions for the seventh edition are officially open. The fee is the same as last year: € 30 for those who register before Saturday, June 1st, 2013; € 40 for those who do it after that date.

Those who want to get immediately the number for one of the most awaited Granfondo of the season and submit by December 31st will have a nice gadget. The organization of the team time trial Città di Villafranca, enhanced further from being held on a street circuit, was a new challenge for Giordana. Successful challenge, judging by the feedbacks of the cyclists who took part in the race. Surely the experience making through the organization of Challenge Giordana was important, but the one played today in Villafranca was a different kind of race, which required a different type of organization. To represent an added value, which has played a key role in the organization by Polisportiva San Giorgio and Giordana, were then, no doubt, the passion for this sport and the knowledge of what are the needs and demands of cyclists, acquired cycling. In short, it’s important not to be “just” organizers, but also fans and athletes. A picture that fits perfectly to the General Manager Giordana Alessia Piccolo, today at the starting line…. with her bicycle. And for her this race has been a double success. Indeed, MCipollini Giordana women team, led by Alessia Piccolo, has closed its race in 28’51 “86, in third position, behind Fimap Mr Gud and Pedale Bagnolese. Among men, first position for Cicli Patos Verona (33’57 “36) followed by Team Bitle Bikes (34’49” 93) and Bren Team Trento (35’16 “62) .

“I’m very happy - says at the end of the race Alessia Piccolo, version cyclist - we had done a good race. I wanted to confront with this type of test, after a lot of Granfondo. I’ve always said that the team time trial fascinated me and after trying it, I can only confirm my opinion”. Then she gets off the bike, plays the role of the organizer, and continues: “I think this has been an interesting race. The team time trial is a type of race still little known in Italy, I hope that today we have done a step towards the growth of these tests. I am sure that this experience must be repeated”.

The award ceremony of the team time trial Città di Villafranca will take place Saturday, October 6th, in Isola della Scala (VR), at Fiera del Riso, in the awards ceremony of the third edition of Challenge Giordana.

A circuit of 9.5 kilometres to go three times, teams consist of a minimum of 4 athletes, aged between 19 and 70 years, FCI, but also members Council members and members with foreign Federations recognized by UCI on presentation of a medical certificate, the time as an opponent and the third member of the team that will pass the finish line to stop the time: these are the ingredients of Cronosquadre Città di Villafranca - Trofeo Giordana. Appointment Sunday, September 30th, start at 8.30am from Piazzale Piscine.

At the start there will be also Alessia Piccolo, General Manager Giordana, again both as a cyclist and member of the organization, because Giordana helps Polisportiva San Giorgio in the organization of the race: “Now we have a good experience, thanks the realization of Challenge Giordana which allowed us to understand better the needs of cyclists, even if Cronosquadre is for us a new challenge because it is a different type of competition, and of organization. I am very happy to have had this chance because the team time trial has always fascinated. In Italy there are still a few races like this and I think it’s a shame”.

At the start there are still a few days, but the starting line is already complete. The winning men team and the winning women team will win 4 Giordana bodies.

In Verona, near Bonferraro di Sorgà, will be held since September 15th to 17th, the 70th edition of Eica. An historical fair, a must for all who love cycling and for experts, a fair to which Giordana could not miss. In the exhibition of “home”, the company leader in technical clothing for cycling will be present with its most requested and loved articles of clothing. However it will be necessary some other days of patience to know the catalogue for 2013, indeed it will be unveiled the following week during the other unmissable exhibition dedicated to bicycles: Expobici. Yegor Dementyev gives Giordana two Paralympic medals, of the most precious metal. The young athlete, indeed, as well as the rest of the Ukrainian National Paralympic cycling team, wears the clothing made by Giordana. Yegor Dementyev won in both the time trial and the road race. The first victory came last Wednesday, in the Time Trial Race, class C5: Dementyev won beating the Chinese Liu and the Australian Gallagher, covering the 24km in 32’12 “98. Thursday, then, the second gold medal in the road race, always in front of the Chinese Liu and the Italian Pittacolo. Two important Gold medals that allow Giordana to go on the podium of the Paralympics Games.

Bicycles will return to take over Città di Villafranca for the 2012 edition of the team time trial. Each team must be made up at the start at least 4 athletes. The race is open to cyclists of both sexes, aged between 19 and 70 years, FCI, but also members of Consulta and members with foreign Federations recognized by UCI upon presentation of a medical certificate. The race will take place on a circuit of 9.5 km, to go three times, with departure and arrival from Piazzale Piscine: time will be taken on the arrival of the third component of each team. The winning men team and the winning women team will win 4 Giordana bodies. The company, leader in technical clothing for cycling, is the main sponsor of the race and joins Polisportiva San Giorgio in the organization of the event. In the first row the General Manager Giordana, Alessia Piccolo, that will be at the start of the race: “Team time trial races has always fascinated me. In Italy there are only a few races of this type and I think it’s a shame because they have a lot of charm. Giordana wants to help this races”.

Registrations for the team time trial Città di Villafranca must be made on the form downloaded from the website www.cronosquadrevillafranca.it. The participation fee is € 60.

Indeed, Tour of Tuscany is an important and difficult race
and MCipollini - Giambenini - Gauss team was able to control it
until the finish line in Firenze, thanks to an excellent conduct of the race
and the fundamental contribution of all the six girls of the team.
The team was protagonist during the whole race. Even today,
in the last stage, Lucca - Firenze 98.8 km, the yellow - fluo has been
at the head of the group up to ten kilometres from the end when,
due to technical problems, the group fails road and the race is stopped
and practically neutralized.

Great satisfaction for the victory also for the President of the team
Alessia Piccolo: “We got a prestigious result with good conduct of the race.
Congratulations to the whole team. This confirms the validity of our project”.

“I’m so happy for this result - Oscar Gatto explains - because I felt good
and I hadn’t been lucky during the first part of the season.
But today the success arrived, thanks to Scinto and his strong motivation
and thanks to all the team, because we are a good group”.

The special thanks of Gatto is for the team, then, but also for his fans:
“They are here, and they created special party for me at Giro d’Italia
and during this summer. They waited a signal for me
and I’m really happy for today also for them”.

The second place in today’s stage, the final one, allows Elena Cecchini
and MCipollini - Giambenini - Gauss to win the Trophée d’Or.
The young yellow– fluo cyclist closed the 84.5 kilometres with start and finish
in Saint-Amand-Montrond behind Giorgia Bronzini and in front of
Anna Van der Breggen, maintaining thus the advantage she had gained
in the previous days in overall classification. Third in the final classification
another yellow – fluo, Marta Tagliaferro.
For Elena Cecchini, after the first victory among professionals,
conquered Saturday in the first stage, arrives also the first race victory
at the end of a Tropée d’Or which has seen her among the absolute protagonists
with all the yellow – fluo girls.

Great satisfaction for the Sportive Director Luisiana Pegoraro:
“I ​​am very happy for Elena and satisfied for what has been done by the whole team.
For us it is important to make a good end of season: there are still
many important races and we want to get other good results”.

Next appointment for the girls of MCipollini - Giambenini - Gauss Saturday,
August 25th with the GP de Plouay, valid as stage of World Cup.
